Today our wonderful year 6 pupils received their SATs exam results. Their results were fabulous and we are very proud of each and every one of you.
Our pupils have developed their learning, throughout all of their years in primary, either with us at Newfield, or with their teachers in their previous school.
THANK YOU so much to all those involved at the different stages of their learning and progression both in school and at home - you have helped to support our pupils to be the wonderful individuals that they are.
We believed in them EVERY step along their journey and I thought this poem, which I particularly love, shows how when you believe in yourself ANYTHING is possible.
Well done to our wonderful children - you have proved that YOU CAN.
The Man Who Thinks He Can
Attitude is Everything!
If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you'd like to win, but think you can't
It's almost a cinch you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you've lost.
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow's will:
It's all in his state of mind.
If you think you're outclassed, you are:
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You'll ever win that prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can.
