We had a very special visitor in school today - who had special clearance!
It was National Bring your Dog to Work Day today... well you can imagine the excitement this would have caused if i'd had to get special clearance for every dog owned, either by our pupils or our staff...
Ted made it to top of the list and so the process of getting clearance began. I didn't tell my class until half an hour before, that Ted was coming to visit - They were so happy that they had been chosen as the top class to look after Ted with me. We invited the pupils from other classes to come and say hello to Ted - they LOVED him and Ted LOVED them. They were so gentle with Ted and I was very proud of how extra careful they were with the younger pupils giving them good advise as to how to pet Ted... Those who wanted to see Ted but not pet him just wanted to 'look through the window at him'. How very sensible. Thank you year 7 / 8. I was very proud of you. Ted went home a very happy dog ( a bit wet from running outside) and with a HeadTeachers Award for being a Good Dog.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
