Summer Term
In class 4 we pride ourselves on being positive role models for the younger years in school, and always try our best in every lesson.
Outside of class we have lots of competative games of football and basket ball at break and lunch.
We love playing games in class once we have completed our work and chess seems to be the game of choice at the moment.
Our Learning:
- English - This term we are loving the classic C.S.Lewis novel The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe - part of the Chronicles of Narnia collection. Some of the creative writing the children are producing, inspired by this story, is just amazing!!

The children have been designing their own boats, their own adventures and all in the style of the Fan Brothers.
- Maths - This term we are moving on to fractions. After that, we will move onto decimals, ratios and shape.
- PE - This term we will be enjoying developing gymnastic skills on Mondays, playing volleyball on Tuesdays and on Thursdays we will go swimming.
- History - Our focus turns to the Romans this term. The children will find out about how the Romans have influenced Britain over the centuries.
- Science - We will be looking at electricity in Science - wires, bulbs, switches, cells, buzzers and motors!! After this, we move onto the digestive system - eeewww!!!
- Computing - We will be taking a look inside computers to find out how they work and what parts do what!!
- PSHE - Teamwork is our topic in PSHE and we will carry out some teamwork investigations to solve problems and help us become a better team together!
- Art - During art lessons this term, we will be looking at sculputre as a focus. Using artists like Antony Gormly and Alberto Giacometti as out inspiration, we will create our own!

- Guided Reading - In class 4, we complete guided reading sessions 3/4 times a week. We focus on a wide range of text types and genres to improve our reading and comprehension skills.
