OUT AND ABOUT
The British Ironwork Centre
We had a fantastic day out at the British Ironwork Centre in Shropshire, exploring the incredible sculptures and learning about the stories behind them. The trip gave us lots of inspiration for our Art and English work back in school too!

Dunham Massey
We had a fabulous day out at Dunham Massey in December. It was the perfect weather for a winter walk through beautiful parkland and the ideal way to relax and unwind after a very busy term.

Work Experience
In March, all our pupils had successful work experience placements - they sould be so proud of themselves. These placements have given them an insight into the world of work, helped them develop important skills and explore potential careers.

Sefton Youth Conference, Crosby Lakehouse
It was a real privilege to be asked to attend the Youth Conference in March. We took part in several workshops run by organisations such as the RAF, Alder Hey and Sefton Council. It was a great opportunity to share our experiences, to listen to others and to work together to help improve our local community. And we had a slap-up lunch too!

The Zombie Apocalypse!
In March, as part of British Science Week, we were honoured to have a visit from Graeme Mitchell, senior lecturer at the Centre for Public Health at Liverpool John Moores University. He delivered a zombie apocalypse scenario - a decision-making game that had our pupils hooked from the start. Fascinating and though-provoking!

Diversity Concert
The musicians in our class performed in the Diversity Concert at Liverpool University's Mountford Hall. They opened the show with a fantastic rendition of Let's Dance - they were just brilliant!

Sedulo Foundation
We were lucky enough to visit the fabulous offices of the Sedulo Foundation, a finance company based in Exchange Flags in Liverpool city centre. We found out that a career in finance involves a lot more than number crunching! We were looked after so well by Sophie and Tiffany from Sedulo and were treated to spectacular views across the city from the roof terrace. Thanks to Kerry Hetherington our careers advisor for organising the visit.

Southport College
Our visit to Southport College was so worthwhile. We learned about some of the courses that are on offer as well as being given an insight into what college life might be like. Special thanks to Tom Rowe and everyone at the college for making us feel so welcome.
