Autumn Term 2020-2021
Hello, I hope you are all keeping well. Welcome to a new school year in Class 5 with Mr Dillon and Mrs Ratcliffe. I am pleased to say our students have settled into our new class and back into their routine really well especially considering we have been off for a long period of time. We will encourage them not only to work hard and aim to be the best they can, but to also continue to make their families proud of them.
In line with the new Curriculum, pupils have been studying:
We have been working creatively through the subjects to provide an enjoyable and stimulating journey. The pupils have been particularly enjoying reading Roald Dahl’s classic, Charlie and the Chocolate factory. The pupils have already produced a lot of fantastic work around this book as can be seen in our class display.
Homework will be given throughout the year on a Tuesday and Friday. If families need additional help to support their child please contact class staff who will be more than willing to help you. As an addition to any class homework given, please can your child do the following:
It’s not all work though – Students will have the opportunity to go on school trips throughout the year, to support and enhance their learning, but also as a reward for continuing good behaviour and good attitude. Students will also aim to fund raise throughout the year to support our school charities, which they enjoy very much.
Build on your good work from last year.
Believe in yourself and aim for success.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
