Welcome to our Class Page
Form Teacher: Mr Hughes
Teaching Assistant: Mrs Ordish
Mrs. Ordish and Mr. Hughes’ class, now in year 10, are at the beginning of their final journey towards their exams. They will be studying Maths, English, Science and Computing alongside their chosen options.
Their goal is to achieve their best in GCSE’s, Functional Skills, BTec and the ECDL; to lead them onwards and upwards to college, work place learning and the start of their adult lives.
2020 has seen a enthusiastic return to school with all pupils having a positive attitude after an unusual end to year 9, as a result of the Covid lockdown. They appear eager and are responding positively to learning. Most are really happy to be back at school and into a normal routine, allowing them the interaction (within guidelines) that was restricted for so many months.
In addition, they are starting their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award, where they will be embarking on a highly recognised award that requires commitment in the areas that the D. of E. identify as Skill, Voluntary and Physical as well as taking part in an expedition including an overnight camp.
Attached is some of the brilliant work we have done on Blood Brothers this term. The whole class has engaged with the reading, and occasional acting out of the play and produced some excellent work to go along with it.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
