What is a Learning Mentor?
A Learning Mentor’s role is to support the needs of children who may be facing barriers to their learning and help them achieve their full potential in school therefore preparing them for the challenges that life brings. We work with pupils, teachers, parents, carers, families, schools and other agencies to ensure that children and families receive the support that they need.

How do we help?
Our Learning Mentors help children, their families and teachers to identify particular difficulties a child may be having and seek solutions. We work with children on a 1-1 basis or in small groups to improve situations and encourage pupils to re-engage in their learning through targeted interventions. The aim of this additional support is to raise children’s attainment, achievement, aspirations and belief in themselves.
