It has been a busy year in Art with lots of amazing art and design pieces produced with pupils showing a real pride in their work. Pupils are gaining confidence to work with a large range of new materials and techniques and understand scale, scaling up and scaling down.
Key stage 2 have been starting to understand 3D drawing and although frustrating and hard for them at times they have all risen to challenge with some lovely street scenes developing. Mrs White class have been working on funky fish designs to make into recycled 3D fish.
Key stages 3 have been working on a variety of projects from posters for an event to stacking doll designs taking into 3D cardboard developmental pieces.
GCSE received their exam papers and have been working hard on design development towards final exam. They have all completed strong portfolios of work for their first 60% of marks and I am immensely proud of how creative they have been throughout the course.
I am excited to see how all pupils develop work with lots of new pupils who are showing a lot of good skills in the subject with many potential GCSE candidates in KS3.
