Newfield School Pupil Premium – In our strategic plan, we are using the following ways to move progress for pupils with free school meals, who we receive a Pupil Premium amount in our funding:
The Pupil Premium is designed to ensure that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most. The funding is allocated to Local Authorities and schools with pupils who are eligible for free school meals (FSM), are looked after or have parents currently in the Armed Forces. From April 2012 the coverage of the Premium was widened to include those eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years.
In 2017 the funding is approximately £49,000
In 2016 the funding was £52,855
In 2015 the funding was £52,525
In 2014 the funding allocated was £935 per child for 35 pupils and £1300 for 15 pupils. (Rates for 2014/15 are £1300 for primary, £935 for secondary and £1900 for child looked after / adopted from care / left care under Special Guardianship or Residency Order)
